Combination Inspector - Douglas County

 Douglas County is accepting applications for a Combination Building Inspector with the Zoning and Codes Department. Candidates must be self-motivated and possess problem solving as well as communication skills. The ideal candidate will have: experience inspecting residential and commercial buildings to determine code compliance; knowledge of materials, methods, and practices used in building construction; knowledge of Building, Residential, Mechanical, Plumbing, and Electrical codes. Ideal candidates will possess one or more International Code Council certifications, or be able to become certified within one year of employment.

 

 A Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Science, or Construction Management is required. A combination of education and experience may be substituted for a degree. Applicants must pass a background check and possess a valid driver’s license.

 

 Starting is $23.98/hour, depending on experience, with excellent benefits. Review of applications will begin immediately.
